A Hormone May Treat Autism, Social Disorders

A hormone produced by men and women (oxytocin) may be able to treat various “social interaction disorders” including autism and schizophrenia. The exact mechanism isn’t understood but spraying oxytocin in the nose can effect the brain.

This is important because oxytocin is “a whole new class of pharmaceuticals – pro-social compounds”. Who doesn’t want this?
