Dr James Denninghoff - Missouri Allergy Clinic

Missouri Sinus & Allergy Specialists

Sinus and allergy problems affect millions of Americans, of all ages. It can seem a little overwhelming, but that is not really the case. Through accurate diagnosis and an increased level of patient awareness (education) most of us can be healthier with our nose, lungs, ears and sinuses.

What is healthier? Easy breathing through the nose, especially at night, rare nasal/sinus infections, and minimal chest or asthma symptoms.

Why is this important? It is a "quality of life" (feeling well most days) combined with reduced health care needs and less medical expense.

There is no reason to put up with the aggravation, cost and risks of ongoing sinus-allergy-asthma trouble when it can be helped, often simply. It is well known that allergies, sinusitis, and asthma are inter-related and making more people sick, every year. This is an important national health issue. Our goal at Midwest Sinus Allergy Specialists is to help the patient understand/identify what the causes are, and then come up with do-able treatments to correct the problems.

We try to "get answers" (identify the cause of symptoms) and make treatment suggestions, case by case. Individual patient understanding and involvement is critical to long term success. Patient acceptance that there is a problem, with enthusiastic participation, will result in more enjoyable health ("quality of life", again). These are usually solvable problems.

Often-times, sinus and allergy are misunderstood or even trivialized (felt to be so common as to not be a serious problem). This is not the case, with sleep disturbed breathing, recurring infections, asthma, chronic fatigue, and other symptoms quite significant, long term.

Because allergic tendencies can last a lifetime, (and be passed on to children), the more each individual understands, and knows what to look for, the sooner they can feel better. Work with us, be observant and keep an open mind.
